The Early Alaskan Pea is an heirloom pea variety that dates back to the 1880's and is an extremely early, smooth-seeded green pea. The plants of this pea variety are 24 to 36 inches in height and produce 5 to 8 peas per pod.

Early Alaskan is a very cold hardy pea and is ideal for cool climates. At only 55 days to maturity, it is the earliest pea you can raise in your garden! This variety is ideal for canning or freezing!

Wando is an extremely dependable pea variety that arose by crossing the varieties Laxton's Progress and Laxton's Perfection at the South Carolina Vegetable Breeding Lab. Wando was introduced to the public in 1943 and has been admired by gardeners in Southern and Coastal regions ever since.

This dependable cropping pea variety grows to 24 to 30 inches in height (dwarf strains have been reported) and is a prolific producer of 4 inch pea pods containing 7 to 9 dark green peas per pod. Wando's excellent crop is ideal for canning or freezing.

Suitable for climates with extremes of both hot and cold weather. Very tolerant to heat where other peas fail. Being heat resistant, the Wando Pea can be planted later than other varieties.

70 days to maturity.


Oregon Sugar Pod Pea SORRY, OUT OF STOCK!

Originally introduced by Oregon State University, having been developed at the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station at Corvallis, Oregon from a cross of Wando and Geneva 168 which was then crossed to Dwarf Gray Sugar Pod. The Oregon Sugar Pod Pea features extremely hardy 3 foot vines which are high yielders of 4 inch flat pods that hold their color well. Oregon Sugar Pod often produces pods in clusters of two opposed to the usual one. This pea variety is extremely disease resistant. This excellent pea variety is high in Vitamins A, B and C. The sweet, crunchy pods are ideal for use in stir-frys. One of the best choices for the short season of cooler climates. Resistant to wilt, pea enation virus and streak virus.

Suitable for cold climates and adapted to the Pacific Northwest.

60-65 days to maturity.

The Dwarf Gray Sugar Pod Pea is a variety of Snow Pea that is said to date back to as early as 1773. This variety is typically grown for its edible pea pods, but can also be used as a shelling pea. Vines grow up to 24 inches in height, but typically do not need support for the best result.

Plants are very bushy and produce beautiful purple blossoms that soon give way to sweet and tasty 3 inch long pods.

Matures in 70 days.

A very disease resistant, wrinkled green shelling pea that produces many peas per pod, which set in pairs. Each pod is 4.5 to 5.0 inches in length. Green Arrow excells in the short season of cool climates which has made this pea variety heavily favored in Canada and Alaska, as well as in Europe. 68 days to maturity. Green Arrow is one of the best pea varieties for your freezer! Vines grow to 2 feet and are very disease resistant.

The Lincoln Shelling Pea, also known as the Homesteader Pea was introduced to the gardening public in 1908 and was used commercially up until the mid 1960's. This excellent pea variety is technically a dwarf variety and produces vines which reach only 18 to 30 inches in height.

Produces an abundance of easy to shell, 3 to 4 inch long pea pods which contains 6 to 9 peas per pod. Lincoln Shelling Peas possess an excellent flavor and are very productive.

Resistant to wilt and is very tolerant to heat. Does very well in the Northern United States.

Matures in 65 to 70 days.

The Little Marvel Pea, also known as the Improved American Wonder Pea, having been introduced in 1908, is a popular bush-type pea that has stood the test of nearly a century.

Little Marvel is an early, dependable producer of three and a half inch, double pea pods that contain 6 or 7 very dark green colored peas. The peas are excellent when used fresh, canned or frozen and are bursting with an old fashioned flavor.

Dwarf type bush plants reach only about one foot in width and 15 to 20 inches in height and require little support

The Little Marvel Pea is resistant to fusarium wilt.

Matures in 60 days.

The hardy 24 to 30 inch vines produce an abundance of doubled up four and a half inch long dark green pods that contain 9 to 11 plump, buttery flavored peas that melt in your mouth! Produces high yields over a very long season and is resistant to mildews and mosaic virus.

Maestro does well in regions where peas typically do poorly  and due to its high heat resistance, Maestro Shelling Peas are an excellent choice for gardeners in South West states.

Mammoth Melting Sugar Snow Pea SORRY, OUT OF STOCK!

The Mammoth Melting Sugar Pea is the standard in edible Snow Peas and was introduced commercially to the gardening public prior to 1896. The variety has stood the test of a century and has remained popular since its original introduction.

Wilt resistant vines up to five feet in height produce white blossoms that are beautiful enough to use as cut flowers, which soon yield excellent flat, green pea pods. The pea pods are edible and possess a sweet taste with a crisp, tender flesh that is wonderful when used in stir frys or even eaten raw right out of the garden. Even if harvesting is delayed and the pods begin to fill out, they remain very tender and sweet, where as other varieties may grow tough or bitter. The plants are extremely productive. When grown on wires, one 35 foot row of Mammoth Melting Sugar Peas can produce over an entire bushel of usable pods.

This high yielding snow pea is a uniform producer that thrives even in the cool weather of northern climates.

Will produce continually if the pods are harvested regularly.

Oregon Trail Pea (AKA. Oregon Trail Green Shelling Pea) SORRY, OUT OF STOCK!

The Oregon Trail Green Shelling Pea is a pea variety introduced in 1991 by the legendary vegetable breeder James R. Baggett of Oregon State University. This excellent shelling pea is a very prolific producer of well-filled, 3 inch long pea pods. Each nodule typically yields two pods opposed to the usual one, which allows the Oregon Trail Pea to produce incredible yields of delicious, firmly textured peas that retain their dark green color when cooked, even after freezing. The three foot high vines are best grown on a trellis or a wire.

Excels when used fresh, canned or frozen. Resistant to powdery mildew and pea enation. This extremely hardy variety is a wonderful pea for gardeners living in the Pacific North West!

Matures in 55 to 70 days.
