This variety was introduced in 1898 by DM Ferry of the Ferry-Morse Seed Company. This lovely variety features the classic Hubbard shape, but with a beautiful golden-orange colored shell. Each of these golden beauties weigh between 8 to 12 pounds and possess a very thick, dry golden flesh of a fine grain with a wonderful flavor. Golden Hubbard Squash have a wide array of uses and may be stored whole well through winter, or they may also be canned or frozen. Wonderful baked, stuffed, used in pies or in casseroles.
